Customer Testimonials
we thought we'd visit Mingo, the offspring of one of our favorite Portland restaurants, Caffe Mingo. Glad we did because we enjoyed...
...top notch service.
..great cocktails and a wine list that broad enough but not overwhelming and reasonably priced with the added benefit of by the glass wines available as 3 oz or 6 oz pours.
...creative menu coupled with very good, professional kitchen execution for food flavors and presentation.
...portions and prices just right resulting in good value.
...delightful ambiance on a summer evening with the back doors rolled up and an "all are welcome here" vibe..M M R
Bend, Oregon YelpWe booked our wedding reception here because they were one of the only restaurants that offered us a private room for our gathering. But what we were MOST impressed by was the great food and superb customer service! WOW! We highly suggest you consider this place for wedding receptions because it is ground level, close and easy parking, a beautiful outside seating area adjacent the MAX station and great atmosphere.

Portland, Oregon YelpTheir delicious dishes artfully prepared and presented with fresh ingredients from local farmers. The daily made ravioli melts in your mouth and is absolutely superb. If you get on their newsletter list, you find out about all kinds of cool, innovative events to bring the community together. The wine list is amazing and so are their cocktails. Lastly, and very importantly, the service is TOPS. It's definitely a valued treasure in Beaverton...the atmosphere is very hip, it's especially enjoyable when it's nice enough to open the big garage type doors and sit outside.

Portland, Oregon, Yelp!Best Italian meal, bar none, ever. Better than Salute in Marin County, better than Italy on the island of Capri, better than any and all meals in Cortona, Gaeta and Sperlonga put together. Better than Venice, and at least tied with some of our meals in Rome.

The Bar and Wine
Is it cocktail hour yet?
From fun to serious, from signature cocktails to family-run Italian and Oregon wineries; we both expand your horizons with new drinks and comfort you with your favorites.
The bar has been run by Monica Zuercher from our inception and her cocktails continue to inspire followers at the bar. Monica has worked with Ryan Magarian at Liquid Relations (liquidrelations.com) in continuing to develop her skills as a mixologist. The flavors in the drinks she puts on the bar here at MiNGO reflect both this development and MiNGO’s devotion to simplicity. The cocktails change seasonally, as we use infused liquors for a number of our drinks, and the bartenders are always happy to help choose which one is right for you.
Michael Tocchini crafts the wine list from the amazingly plentiful portfolio of Italian wines here in Portland, Oregon. While taking on some smaller and/or more personable wineries of Oregon located within reach of the restaurant, most of the bottles on the list make the journey from Italy. From Sicily to Piemonte and over to Friuli and Sardegna the wines personify distinct regions across the peninsula. If you’re familiar with Italian wines you will come across some gems; if it’s a foreign language we will get you into a glass or bottle which you will love. Just ask for our help.
Mat Bilodeau keeps the beer flowing through our 2 local taps at MiNGO with his taste for NW beers. Since there are only 2 though, you’ll have to visit the restaurant to learn more. Suffice it to say, they’re always Oregon and always tasty!
