If there is one event which we at MiNGO have really thrown ourselves into it’s the WineMaker Dinner.  Michael Cronan and Michael Tocchini have cultivated many relationships with winemakers over the years, both with Italians in Italy and with local winemakers here in the Willamette Valley. These dinners are the result of those relationships and we feel fortunate to present them to our customers on a regular basis.  We host 12-15 each year and usually stage them in our private dining room.  We have, however, taken over the entire restaurant and brought in a baby grand piano for one visiting Italian: he is a classically trained pianist.   Recently we’ve taken to celebrating summer with the dinners outside on the piazza.  Not only are the food and wines fantastic, but the experience of interacting with the winemaker, and your fellow guests, combine to make for truly unforgettable evenings.

Every last Tuesday of the summer months we play host to Beaverton Last Tuesday here at The Round.  Live music, artists and all sorts of fun on the grass and in the fountain in front of the restaurant make for great summer nights.

we thought we'd visit Mingo, the offspring of one of our favorite Portland restaurants, Caffe Mingo. Glad we did because we enjoyed...
    ...top notch service.
..great cocktails and a wine list that broad enough but not overwhelming and reasonably priced with the added benefit of by the glass wines available as 3 oz or 6 oz pours.
...creative menu coupled with very good, professional kitchen execution for food flavors and presentation.
...portions and prices just right resulting in good value.
...delightful ambiance on a summer evening with the back doors rolled up and an "all are welcome here" vibe..

We booked our wedding reception here because they were one of the only restaurants that offered us a private room for our gathering. But what we were MOST impressed by was the great food and superb customer service! WOW! We highly suggest you consider this place for wedding receptions because it is ground level, close and easy parking, a beautiful outside seating area adjacent the MAX station and great atmosphere.

Their delicious dishes artfully prepared and presented with fresh ingredients from local farmers. The daily made ravioli melts in your mouth and is absolutely superb. If you get on their newsletter list, you find out about all kinds of cool, innovative events to bring the community together. The wine list is amazing and so are their cocktails. Lastly, and very importantly, the service is TOPS. It's definitely a valued treasure in Beaverton...the atmosphere is very hip, it's especially enjoyable when it's nice enough to open the big garage type doors and sit outside.

Best Italian meal, bar none, ever. Better than Salute in Marin County, better than Italy on the island of Capri, better than any and all meals in Cortona, Gaeta and Sperlonga put together. Better than Venice, and at least tied with some of our meals in Rome.
